What is the Role of a Local Alumni Chapter?
An obvious purpose to having a local alumni chapter is provide a fun atmosphere for fans to gather, watch games and stay connected to the university. We are also involved in the local community, participating in events and fundraisers, as well as recruiting students from our Northshore community who may be interested in attending The University of Alabama.
As a local presence, Northsore Tide officers have the unique ability to connect prospective students with resources and university personnel to set up special recruitment events such as personal tours of the campus. Each year, Northshore Tide awards a scholarship to one local Bama Bound high school senior that they can put towards expenses for their first year of enrollment.

Why become a Member?
Membership has its perks! Each year, Northshore Tide works with a few local businesses who can provide special benefits just for our members. You can learn about those member benefits HERE. Active members also receive priority for chapter events and sales, such as ticket assignment for regular and post season games.
Membership fees go into the Northshore Tide and Michael Colburn Memorial Scholarship funds. The chapter uses discretionary funds from membership dues to host events and game watches and bring in speakers that our members are interested in meeting.
Northshore Tide is a non-profit, all chapter officers are unpaid volunteers who are passionate about The University of Alabama and dedicated to support the university, sports teams, alumni association, and local students attending or planning to attend.
